1970 to 1979 - Located in Toulouse, France, LANCER Industrie SA was founded in 1970. The first company to manufacture laboratory glassware washers, LANCER began exporting washers across the globe during its first year of operation.
1980 to 1988 - During the 1980s LANCER's considerable growth in export sales required the creation of new offices to address the increasing demand for LANCER products. The LANCER UK (United Kingdom) office was founded in 1983 followed by LANCER BV (Holland) in 1988. During 1988 LANCER also launched the first washers for the hospital industry.
1989 to 1990 - Founded in 1989, LANCER Inc (USA) was created
to address the growing US market for washers and washing solutions.
Coinciding with this new location, LANCER launched the UP range of laboratory washers. To keep abreast of the growing demand for LANCER products, LANCER Industrie SA moved into a larger manufacturing facility (4,000 M2 - 43,000 ft2) in 1992. LANCER, the first company to identify and manufacture glassware/labware washers designed specifically for the pharmaceutical market, launched the PCM and PRO range of washers for cGMP industries in 1993. 1994 found the launch of the Fibro-Cleaner washer/dryer for endoscopes. In 1995 LANCER achieved ISO 9002 certification.
During the 1990s LANCER, with their extensive experience in washing and design technology, began a unique approach to their customer's washing application by providing customization of inventory systems (jet racks and baskets) and wash chambers. Customization became a key component to LANCER's focus on providing the best wash solution for their customers.
2000 and beyond - An expansion of the LANCER Industrie SA manufacturing facility that began in 1999 was completed in 2000. This expansion doubled the site (8,000 M2 - 86,000 ft2) allowing for a seamless integration of a new range of washers focusing on cleaning for the animal research industry. The ANIMA range began production in 2000. In 2001 LANCER launched the LX range of laboratory glassware washers beginning with its undercounter series. The updated features of the LX range, a vast improvement over its older UP counterparts, will eventually replace the entire UP line including the freestanding models. In 2002 LANCER launched the TI and 2000 LXA washing systems to address the needs of the industrial market including the biotech, agritech, and petrochem industries as well as addressing the increasing demands of QA/QC applications. Always improving on quality standards, LANCER achieved ISO 9001 version 2000 certification in 2003. Moving forward into the future, LANCER will continue to lead the market place in quality, innovation, customization and customer service.
